Open Pubmoot in Kansas City - May 23, 2010 @ 6 PM
Our Open Pubmoots have gone very well...with new people, lots of food, drink, laughter and some great conversations. And now its time for our twelfth Open Pubmoot!

So, if you feel drawn to the Northern Gods...Odin, Asa-Thor, Frigga, Tyr, Freyja, Frey, and all the other Asas and Vans...and you want to honor the Gods and your ancestors with others that view the world from a Heathen perspective...then you'll want to come and meet other heathens in the Kansas City Area...

Kansas City is home to Jotun's Bane Kindred...a vibrant but stable group of individuals who Fain and Symbel together, study the Lore and discuss what that means to us in today's world, and who look out for each other through thick and thin. We have created a lasting Kindred here in Kansas City.

If you would be interested in learning more about the Asatru Religion, and living life from a Heathen perspective...then we want to meet you. On Sunday, May 23th, 2010 at 6:00 PM, at O'Dowd's Tavern in ZonaRosa (8600 NW Prairie View Rd, KCMO) we'll be there to talk with you. You do not have to be 21-years-old to go to O'Dowds. Its a casual environment...bring any questions, concerns, or thoughts you may have.

We'll be holding this one in the BACK ROOM at O'Dowds, so that its a little more private and quiet. There will be toasting, and if you'd like to bring a short poem to read or recite, or a song to sing...please do.

Map to O'Dowd's

PUB - pronunciation: pŭb; noun: (abbreviation) A place of business where alcoholic beverages are sold and drunk. etomology: Short for public house. Chiefly British, a place, such as a tavern or bar, that is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages during fixed hours.

The meetings concerned were assemblies of the members of a community. etomology: Middle English meeting from Old English mōt, gemōt

So whether you are a...

1. Long-time Heathen looking to connect with other Heathens here in the Kansas City Area.

2. A brand-new Heathen who just recently answered the call of the old Gods.

3. Someone curious about Heathenry, and wondering what its all about

...you are welcome to attend our Open Pubmoot! We'll see you there!

I know! It seems like its been forever already...and this is still 2 months off!

We left a big space there, since we were having an Open Ostara gathering...but I'll be happy to see the inside of the pub...and all of our friends again.

I know we had talked about renting the back room , however if the temps are good should we consider getting the roof so the smokers do not have to leave?

We should have the back room set up for a weather back-up.

Sounds good to me.

If you are coming to this pubmoot...know that we will definitely be at O'Dowds at this date and time. When you come, we'll be on the roof or in the back-room...and the staff there will know if you ask where the Asatru Pubmoot is being held.

Hey Mark! Will you have any print copies of your book for sale at the pubmoot? I'd love to get a hold of one!

It is very possible. I've ordered 10 of them, and they should be here well before then...
